Professor Jacqueline Cloos began her role as research coordinator of both hematology and pediatric oncology/hematology at the Amsterdam University Medical Center, location VUMC, NL, in 2003, and has since been appointed as Professor in the Department of Hematology and at Cancer Center Amsterdam. She obtained her doctorate in the Department of Otolaryngology at the same institution.
Prof. Cloos chairs the Dutch AML MRD working party and is a member of the European LeukemiaNet AML MRD Working Party as coordinator of the flow cytometry group. She is the principle investigator in a variety of study areas within acute leukemia. Her research group is dedicated to targeting minimal residual disease with a view to reduce the risk of relapse in patients with AML, and she also studies drug resistance against standard chemotherapy.Her projects include the investigation of novel treatment strategies such as splicing modulation and proteasome inhibition.
